CANCELLED: Why Not Wakefield Event (Weather Permitting)

Across the weekend 31/8-1/9, Wakefield is holding a number of events under the banner Why Not Wakefield and Wai-iti Dark Sky Park is supporting this with an event on 31/8 at 7-9pm (weather permitting)

To check on the day if the event is happening, check thhis event page on our website to see if the event name has had CANCELLED added to it or not - we will add this by 5pm if the event will not happen due to weather.

Come and join us at Wai-iti Dark Sky Park for an evening under the skies, with astronomers and their telescopes on hand to give you a taste of the night sky and explain some interesting things.

Please indicate your intention to join us by completing an RSVP so we can prepare for the number of interested people.

Note that there are limited toilet facilities on site (two vault toilets) so plan accordingly.

Remember to wrap up warm with thermals, thick layers, warm hats, gloves, etc.
